Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021 | Vacancy Details
Name of the Post: Assistant Engineer (Civil)
No of Vacancy: 63 [UR- 45, SC- 4, STP- 7, ST (H)-2, EWS-5, RFW from all categories-20]
Salary: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1, 10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12, 700/- PM plus other allowances as per the Govt. rules.
Name of the Post: Junior Engineer (Civil)
No of Vacancy: 37 [UR- 19, OBC/MOBC- 5, SC-7, STP- 4, EWS- 2, RFW from all categories- 8]
Salary: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 60,500/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.8, 700/- PM plus other allowances as per the Govt. rules.
Age limit of AE (Civil) and JE (Civil)
The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2021
Age Relaxation:
The upper age limit is relaxable –
(i) SC/ST candidates: 5 years (up to 43 years)
(ii) OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years (up to 41 years)
(iii) For Persons with Disability (PWD): 10 years
Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021 | Eligibility Criteria
Essential Criteria:
The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. The candidate or his/her parents must be voters of Assam for proof of permanent residence. The voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of permanent residence. (Attach self-attested valid supporting documents).
Educational Qualification:
Assistant Engineer (Civil):
(i) B.E or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering obtained from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Government.
(ii) The Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering must be a Regular Full Time Course. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
(iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) the official language of the State of Assam except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Junior Engineer (Civil):
(i) The candidates must pass 3(three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE.
(ii) The diploma in Civil Engineering must be a Regular Full Time Course. Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
(iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) the official language of the State of Assam except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Selection Process of Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021
Screening/ Shortlisting: As per academic performance candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit.
Methodology of recruitment: Due to the current pandemic situation, a contact-less process of selection purely based on academic performance from HSLC to Degree for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and HSLC to Diploma for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) will be followed.
