SCERT Assam D.El.Ed Admission 2024
State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has released the official notification regarding the 2 – Year admission of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course. In this notification, online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course. The course will be conducted in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes (DIET/CTE/Normal School/BTC/Pvt.TEIs) of the state for the academic session 2024-2026.

Eligibility Criteria for D.El.Ed Admission
Resident-ship: Candidates who are permanent resident of Assam can only apply for this course only.
Educational Qualification: The applicant must have passed Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards/Councils with at least 50% marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in extra/ optional/ fourth subjects.
# For candidates belonging to SC/ST(PV/ST(H) category there will be relaxation of 5% of marks in aggregate.
# Candidates who are appearing in Higher Secondary (HS) [10+2] or its equivalent final examination may also apply to appear in the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2022.
Age Limit: The applicant must not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years as on 1st July, 2024. There will be a relaxation by 2 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) & ST(H) Categories.
Reservation of Seats: Reservation of seats for the candidates belonging to reserved categories including OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/Person With Disability (PWD) will be as per existing Govt. norms.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 600.00 (Rupees Six Hundred only) as application fee for all categories through online . Fee may be paid through Internet Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Wallet.
Selection Process: Candidates who are permanent resident of Assam have to appear in the Pre Entry Test (PET)-2022 for admission into 2 – Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course.

Candidates can download their SCERT Assam D.El.Ed. PET Admit Card from the official website SCERT Assam from 1st September 2024 onwards by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth generated during the online submission of the application.
Venue for Pre-Entry Test (PET) of D.El.Ed Admission
The venue for the PET will be allocated in the district selected by the candidates during the online submission of the application form. This will be indicated in the admit card. Seats will be allotted in the Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) of the district where the candidates choose to appear for the PET-2024.

Syllabus of D.El.Ed Pre-Entry Test (PET)
Candidates aspiring to take up teaching as a profession at elementary level may apply to appear in the Pre-Entry Test (PET) – 2024 for admission into 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course. Here we will provide the question pattern, syllabus and all other details about PET 2024.
The Test shall have two Sections: Section-I and Section-II. Other details are as mentioned below.
