SAMARTH Admission Portal
The Govt. of Assam introduced SAMARTH, an online Admission portal for Under Graduate Programmes in Higher Education Institutes, to simplify the admission process. SAMARTH facilitates online admissions for BA, BCom, BSc, etc. as per the New Education Policy 2020 in Assam.
Students will get six options for program selection either in the same Higher Educational Institution (University/Colleges) or in different Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) (University/Colleges).
“Samarth” is an initiative by the Ministry of Education started in 2019, under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology NMEICT-II (now NMEICT-III), with an aim to enable the universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) through a digital framework for planning, management, delivery, and monitoring of services for students, staff, and other stakeholders. Under the project, the HEIs are provided with a fully managed, cloud based, comprehensive ERP that is custom built for HEIs of the country.

Assam Fee Waiver Scheme

According to the official notification, the Assam Government’s fee waiver scheme will be linked to SAMARTH. Therefore, eligible students can avail the fee waiver only by applying through the SAMARTH platform. How to Apply for Assam College Admission?
Students who have successfully completed the HS final exam or its equivalent can apply for admissions to colleges and universities in Assam using the SAMARTH Online Admission Portal. It’s important to understand that while the applications are submitted through the SAMARTH Portal, the actual admissions will take place offline at the respective colleges.
