Eligibility Criteria of Central Civil Services (IAS etc) Examinations 2022

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidates must hold a degree in any discipline from a Recognised University.

Age Limit:

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st of June, 2022.

b) The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the following manner:

(i) up to a maximum of 5 (five) years if a candidate belongs to SC/ST(P)/ ST(H).

(ii) up to a maximum of 3 (three) years in the case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC, who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates;

iii) For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities by 10 years, irrespective of SC/ ST/ OBC and General Category of candidates, as per relevant Government norms.

The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/ HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognised Board/ Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose.



Selection of Candidates: Candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the Selection Test. The Selection Test will consist of General Studies (Multiple Choice Questions) and will be held on 24th October 2021 (Sunday) from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM.

90 percent of the questions in the Selection Test will be from General Studies (Paper I) and 10 percent from CSAT (Paper-II) of the UPSC Preliminary Examination syllabus. Maximum marks for the Selection Test will be 200. The total number of questions will be 100. There will be no negative marking.

Any change in the date(s) and/or venue of the Selection Test will be duly notified on the website of AASC viz www.aasc.assam.gov.in.

Date of declaration of results of Selection Test: The result will be displayed on AASC Office Notice Board and the AASC Website www.aasc.assam.gov.in.

Eligibility for the Selection Test: General Category candidates securing at least 60% and Reserved Category candidates securing 55% marks in the degree the examination shall be eligible for the test.

Fees on the selection of the course: The selected candidates shall have to give Rs. 5000.00 (Rupees Five Thousand) only as one time fees for the entire course in the form of Demand Draft, in favour of  Director of Training, Assam Administrative Staff College Society, payable at SBI, IIBM Branch, Jayanagar, Guwahati-22.

The selected candidates shall have to give Library Deposit fees of Rs. 2000 (Rupees two thousand) only, which is refundable.

How to Apply of Central Civil Services (IAS etc) Examinations 2022

The candidates shall have to submit self-attested copies of all relevant documents along with two passport-sized photographs on the day of submission of application (as hard copy only) at AASC. Original Certificates will have to be produced by the candidates at the time of their admission to the coaching programme.
