Eligibility Criteria of Assam Forest Department Recruitment 2023

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Government recently released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 2741 Forester, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable, Driver, and Grade IV vacancy in the Department of Environment and Forestry Assam Eligibility Criteria are given below.

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit proof of residence /Domicile Certificate after publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.

Age Limit: 

(I) Forester Grade I, Forest Guard Driver & Grade-IV: Candidates age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).

(II) AFPF Constable & Driver Constable: Candidates age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1998).

Age Relaxation: Category-wise upper age relaxation is as mentioned below.

• SC/ STP/ STH: 5 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 3 years

Note: For the purpose of determining the age limit, the SLPRB will accept only the date of birth as per the educational qualification certificate issued by the Competent Authority of the School/ Institution last studied or the birth certificate issued by the Health Department. No other documents relating to age such as horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporations, service records and the like will be accepted.

Education Qualification:

Forest Guard: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.

Forester Grade I: Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.

AFPF Constable: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board.

Driver Constable: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.

Driver: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.

Grade-IV:

• Cook: Class VII with Training Certificate or Experience.
• Water Carrier: Class VIII with Training Certificate.
• Dhubi: Class VIII with Training Certificate or Experience.
• Barber: Class VIII with Training Certificate or Experience.
• Pump Operator: HSLC or Equivalent and Trade Certificate/ License.
• Electrician: HSLC or Equivalent with Trade Certificate.
• Plumber: HSLC or Equivalent with Trade Certificate.
• Peon: Class VIII passed.
• Dak Runner: Class VIII passed.
• Jugali: Class VIII passed.

Selection Process: Physical Standard Test & Physical Efficiency Test (PST & PET) and Written Test.
