Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment (Grade III & Grade IV Vacancy) 2023
The selection process for ADRE 2023 has not been officially disclosed yet. According to the official notification, the examination scheme will be made available at least one week prior to the written test. Therefore, we kindly request candidates to review the selection process from the previous year to gain a general understanding of the exam, as outlined below.
Assam Direct Recruitment Commission will conduct separate competitive examinations for the selection of candidates for different type of posts. Accordingly, the Commission will select candidates for recommendation on merit, in order of higher Grade Pay taking into consideration reservations for SC, ST, OBC, and other categories.
The examinations shall be held separately on different dates so as to enable higher degree holders to appear in more than one examination.
Written Examination
The cornerstone of the selection process is the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE). This written test serves as the initial screening stage. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the syllabus for each category of posts can vary. Therefore, it’s crucial to stay updated by referring to the official notification for specific details regarding the exam syllabus.
How to Ace the Written Examination
- Prepare Adequately: Start your preparations early and cover all the topics in the syllabus. Utilize previous years’ question papers to understand the exam pattern.
- Time Management: Manage your time effectively during the exam. Allocate specific time to each section and question to ensure you don’t miss any.
- Mock Tests: Take mock tests to get a feel for the real exam. This will help you manage your time better and increase your confidence.
Interview or Skill Test
Once you successfully clear the written examination, you’ll advance to the second stage of the selection process. Depending on the type of job you are applying for, the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) may conduct either an interview or a skill test.
Preparing for the Interview or Skill Test
- Research: Gather information about the position you’re applying for, the department, and recent developments. Be prepared to discuss your knowledge during the interview.
- Practice: If a skill test is involved, practice your skills regularly to be at the top of your game.
- Interview Etiquette: Dress professionally, arrive on time, and maintain proper etiquette during the interview. Make a positive impression from the start.
Merit List
The final list of selected candidates is prepared based on their performance in both the written examination and the interview or skill test. These candidates are arranged in order of merit. However, the commission will establish minimum qualifying marks for computer tests, other tests, or practical tests. Candidates who score below these qualifying marks will not be eligible for selection.
Maximizing Your Merit
- Excel in Both Stages: To secure a place on the merit list, strive for excellence in both the written examination and the interview/skill test. Aim for high scores in both to improve your overall standing.
- Stay Informed: Regularly check for updates on the official website of the SLRC. Any changes in the selection process or requirements will be communicated there.
- Continuous Learning: Keep honing your skills and knowledge even after the written examination. This will help you shine during the interview or skill test.
