Details of ARBAS Laptop Award Scheme
Until 2019, all eligible students of the Anundoram Borooah Laptop Award Scheme were provided with a laptop computer, along with a two-year subscription for 3G/4G internet connection. Additionally, they received a certificate, books covering all subjects based on the NCERT curriculum in PDF format, and digital content comprising 2D/3D animations and audio/video materials relevant to their respective streams. Furthermore, science students were given access to an online coaching and score improvement system known as OLCSIS.
In light of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the supply chain, the Anundoram Borooah Laptop Award Scheme underwent a significant alteration in 2020. Recognizing the difficulties faced by the government in procuring computers, it was decided that instead of providing laptop computers, a monetary award of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Rupees Only) would be granted to eligible students. This modification aimed to ensure that students could still benefit from the scheme, as the direct transfer of funds to their bank accounts enabled them to utilize the amount in a manner that best suited their requirements.

Eligibility Criteria of ARBAS Scheme
Educational Qualification & Percentage: Students who have secured Star Marks or 75% or more in HSLC, Higher Madrassa and FM Examinations conducted by SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are eligible to submit application for this scheme.
Year of passing: Students must have passed his/her qualifying examination with the mentioned percentage in 2023.
Examination Board: Students who passed their qualifying examination from SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are only eligible to submit application for this scheme.
