Details of ARBAS Laptop Award Scheme
Until 2019, all eligible students of the Anundoram Borooah Laptop Award Scheme were provided with a laptop computer, along with a two-year subscription for 3G/4G internet connection. Additionally, they received a certificate, books covering all subjects based on the NCERT curriculum in PDF format, and digital content comprising 2D/3D animations and audio/video materials relevant to their respective streams. Furthermore, science students were given access to an online coaching and score improvement system known as OLCSIS.
For the current year, the government has made the decision to directly transfer an amount of Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand Rupees Only) to the bank accounts of all eligible students. This step ensures that the students receive the monetary benefit directly, allowing them the freedom to utilize the funds as per their individual needs and preferences.
Eligibility Criteria of ARBAS Scheme
Educational Qualification & Percentage: Students who have secured Star Marks or 75% or more in HSLC, Examinations conducted by SEBA, Assam are eligible to submit application for this scheme.
Year of passing: Students must have passed his/her qualifying examination with the mentioned percentage in 2024.
Examination Board: Students who passed their qualifying examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam are only eligible to submit application for this scheme.
