Eligibility Criteria of AEGCL Recruitment
Residentship: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam.
PRC: The candidate must produce a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof of residency when applying.
Local Language Proficiency: Applicants should have proficiency in Assamese or any local language of Assam.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 21 and 38 years of age as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

Educational Qualification:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks.
- For B.Com graduates, a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or 55% in honors/major subjects.
- For Arts or Science graduates with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent.
- For departmental candidates and those belonging to SC/ST categories, the minimum qualification marks in a bachelor’s degree is 50%.
Computer Proficiency: Candidates should possess proficiency in computer applications and must have a diploma certificate in computer applications with a minimum duration of three months.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered with any of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Small Family Norms: Applicants have to submit a declaration regarding the “Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
